This sculpture is made using a wire armature, covered with foil; masking tape; then polymer clay, which is sculpted, then baked to set. Other found objects, such as a clear glass "balloon," altered with glitter in resin; Alpaca fur; a manufactured bird were modified to add elements to the figures. The figure's clothing is hand-stitched. Plastic coated jewelry wire and a wire hanger allow the figures to hang precariously and hover menacingly. This piece explores the concept of how fragile life could be. The bright colors reveal the ever-present beauty in life.
